Text entered into our tools

The text you type or paste into Text Assist is processed locally by your web browser. We do not intentionally send that text to our servers, save it in a database or read it. The Word Unscrambler also uses a word list loaded by the site and performs its letter matching in your browser.

Because processing happens on your device, closing or refreshing a tool normally clears the text and results on that page. You should still avoid entering passwords, financial details, medical records or other highly sensitive information into any online service.

Accounts and local preferences

Text Assist does not require registration or user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address or payment details to use the tools. Your light or dark theme choice may be stored in your browser's local storage so the site can remember your preference on your next visit. You can remove this preference by clearing site data in your browser.

Google AdSense and advertising

We may use Google AdSense to fund the free operation of Text Assist. Google and participating advertising partners may place or read cookies, use device identifiers, and collect information about visits and ad interactions. This can include pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser or device information, and whether an advertisement was viewed or selected.

Where required, visitors may be asked for consent before advertising cookies are used. Depending on your location and choices, Google may show personalised ads based on activity or non-personalised ads based mainly on the page being viewed and broad location. Text Assist does not provide advertisers with the words, sentences or letters you enter into a tool.

You can manage advertising preferences through Google's advertising settings and can also block or delete cookies through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect ad personalisation but should not prevent the core text tools from working.

Google Search Console

We may use Google Search Console to monitor how Text Assist appears in Google Search. Search Console can provide aggregated or limited reports about search queries, impressions, clicks, search position, indexing, page experience, countries and device types. We use this information to fix discoverability problems and improve the usefulness of our pages.

Search Console does not give us the private text entered into the tools. Its reports concern visits from and visibility within Google Search. Google may process related usage data under its own privacy policies.

Basic technical information

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, request time, requested page, browser details and error information. This information may be retained for security, reliability and troubleshooting according to the provider's practices.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell the text entered into our tools. Information may be processed by service providers that support site hosting, security, advertising or search reporting, but only for those services and subject to their own terms. We may also disclose information when legally required or when necessary to protect the site and its users.

Local theme settings remain on your device until you clear them. Retention periods for advertising, search and hosting information are controlled by the relevant service and our available settings.

Children and third-party links

Text Assist is a general-audience utility and is not directed specifically to young children. Links or advertisements may lead to third-party websites that have their own privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Your choices and policy changes

You can use browser controls to clear site data, restrict cookies and manage tracking protection. You can also manage Google ad personalisation through Google. We may update this policy as the site or its supporting services change. The date at the top will be revised when material updates are posted.
